Makkah – His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, has directed the allocation of three hours of flexible working time for male and female employees of the Presidency of Religious Affairs to accompany their children in the early grades during their orientation week at school.
This decision comes in response to a proposal from the Human Resources Department at the Presidency and reflects Sheikh Al-Sudais’s commitment to supporting the educational process, ensuring a smooth start to the academic year, and encouraging new students to begin their studies in a positive and motivating environment. It also continues his annual practice of granting employees the opportunity to accompany their children during this critical transition.
On the occasion of the launch of the 1447 academic year in Makkah, Sheikh Al-Sudais emphasized the vital role of parents in facilitating and supporting the educational journey of their children—psychologically, intellectually, academically, and socially. He highlighted the importance of preparing a healthy family environment that works hand-in-hand with schools, guided by a moderate Islamic approach that helps achieve individual aspirations, national development goals, and broader societal objectives in line with the Kingdom’s Vision.
Sheikh Al-Sudais also prayed for the success of students, teachers, and educators, and extended his gratitude to the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia—may Allah preserve them—for their continuous efforts in providing the finest services and the latest technologies in support of education and learners.
