Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 3, 2025 — Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Saudi Ministry of Culture will host the inaugural Cultural Investment Conference on 29–30 September 2025 at the King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh
The landmark event will bring together global leaders in culture, investment, and public policy to discuss the future of cultural investment and its role in driving economic diversification, cultural production, and social development .
His Highness Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture, expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s patronage and leadership, stating:
“The Cultural Investment Conference reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global cultural investment and inclusive growth that benefits all. We believe culture is not only an expression of heritage and identity but also an essential form of investment—one that creates economic opportunities, fosters mutual understanding, and builds a more connected and creative global future.”
The two-day conference will feature 38 panels and over 100 speakers , including leading cultural experts, policymakers, and investors. The program will highlight emerging opportunities in cultural investment, with a focus on public-private partnerships, dedicated cultural investment funds, and the growing role of philanthropy .
Key themes will include:
- Cultural entrepreneurship and innovation
- The role of technology in advancing creative industries
- The economics of inclusion and cultural participation
- International collaboration in cultural policy and investment
In addition to fostering high-level dialogue, the conference is expected to serve as a platform for major announcements , including new funding mechanisms, strategic partnerships, and agreements that will expand opportunities within the creative economy.
The Cultural Investment Conference builds on the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop a sustainable cultural ecosystem that empowers both creators and consumers. Since its establishment, the Ministry has:
- Issued more than 9,000 cultural licenses to professional practitioners
- Expanded non-profit cultural institutions from 28 in 2017 to 993 in 2024
- Introduced cultural insurance products to provide innovative solutions for investors
- Provided incentives to strengthen cultural production across all creative fields
Through this inaugural conference, the Ministry aims to further position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for cultural investment , while contributing to the Kingdom’s broader vision of sustainable growth and economic diversification.
