Riyadh, September 4, 2025 – From the heart of Saudi Arabia, and specifically from the city of Abha, the capital of the Asir region, the new season of the adventure program “Aish Safari – Year of Handicrafts” kicks off. Hosted by Tamim Al-Harthi, the program will air on Al-Thaqafiya and MBC3.
This season is part of an initiative aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to promote cultural heritage and national identity, stimulate the local economy, preserve traditional crafts as part of cultural identity, and empower Saudi artisans by showcasing their creativity and products. The new episodes will celebrate the cultural value of handicrafts while offering children and families across the Arab world a fresh perspective on the Kingdom’s treasures, landscapes, and diverse traditions, through exciting visits, challenges, and competitions between the Green Team and the Orange Team.
The program features 12 children from across the Arab world, aged between 10 and 13, who were selected from thousands of applicants. They will spend 30 days away from their families living together in camps, with separate accommodations for boys and girls. Divided into two teams, the children will compete in physical and mental challenges designed to foster independence, teamwork, and friendship while building resilience and self-confidence. They will also learn survival skills under the supervision of trainers and explore Saudi landmarks, traditions, and arts across different regions of the country.
Tamim Al-Harthi, who once participated in an MBC talent show before building a career in presenting, expressed his excitement at hosting the program:
“I’m thrilled to present Aish Safari – Year of Handicrafts. It’s especially meaningful since my age is close to the participants, which allows me to connect with them. This year celebrates handicrafts, a passion I personally share. I even bought a book on pottery making!”
He added:“Today, we are in beautiful Abha, specifically in Al-Agala Park in Al-Wadyayn, following visits to Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Makkah, Jazan, and more. We explored historic Diriyah, visited a pottery factory in Al-Ahsa, climbed the Makkah Clock Tower, toured one of the world’s highest museums, and visited the Seerah Museum. Every location reveals another piece of our beautiful homeland through Aish Safari, a show where only the brave can thrive.”
Aish Safari – Year of Handicrafts is not only an entertaining adventure program, but also a call for the younger generation to celebrate Saudi heritage and culture. It serves as a bridge connecting a proud past with an ambitious future under Vision 2030, offering a unique journey of fun, learning, and self-discovery.
