Doha/Islamabad, September 12 — Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the State of Qatar during his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in Doha on Thursday.

On his one-day official visit, the Prime Minister strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack, terming it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and regional integrity.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad, Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s deep concern over the assault on a brotherly nation, calling it an action in clear contravention of international law.

“Pakistan’s leadership and people are gravely concerned over this aggression against Qatar. Both nations stand shoulder to shoulder. Pakistan stands firmly with the Emir, the Royal Family, and the brotherly people of Qatar in this difficult time,” the Prime Minister said.

He also expressed profound condolences over the loss of precious lives in what he described as a “barbaric and heinous attack” by Israel.

The Prime Minister underscored that Israel’s continued aggression in the Middle East must be stopped, emphasizing that the Muslim Ummah needs unity in the face of such provocations.

Acknowledging Qatar’s responsible and constructive role as a mediator for peace in Gaza, the Prime Minister stressed that Israel’s aggression was clearly aimed at destabilizing the region and undermining ongoing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

The Pakistani delegation’s one-day visit, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was a gesture of solidarity with the Emir of Qatar, the Royal Family, and the people of Qatar in the wake of Israeli aggression.
