Riyadh — Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the Government of Pakistan is fully committed to introducing comprehensive reforms in the health sector, aiming not only to improve hospital facilities but also to take effective measures to prevent diseases and promote public health awareness.

He expressed these views while addressing the Riyadh Healthcare Leaders Forum, jointly organized by Pakistan Doctors Group Saudi Arabia, which was attended by a large number of Pakistani doctors, professors, and health experts from around the world.

Prominent speakers including Dr. Zakiuddin Ahmed, Dr. Adil Haider, Dr. Asad Roomi, and Dr. Shehzad Ahmed, President of the Pakistan Doctors Group Saudi Arabia, shared their insights on innovation, research, and modern methods in medical science. They emphasized that the world is moving towards building healthier societies through advanced medical practices, and Pakistan must adopt modern medical principles to protect current and future generations from diseases.

Minister Kamal highlighted that Pakistan’s health budget stands at PKR 1,156 billion, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the country. He stated that the ministry is actively working on reforms that will enable all Pakistanis to access better and more affordable healthcare services.
