Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) will take place from 7 November 2025 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. This is the largest international sports event for the Islamic world, with athletes from 57 countries expected to participate.

More than 3,000 athletes will showcase their skills across 23 sports. Pakistan will be represented by a delegation of 55 athletes competing in athletics, football, swimming, wrestling, weightlifting, shooting, and other sports.

Organized under the umbrella of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), the event is recognized as a symbol of peace, unity, and brotherhood. The ISG aims to strengthen sporting ties among Islamic countries while promoting healthy competition and cooperation.

    Looking back at previous editions:

    • The first edition took place in 2005 across Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Ta’if and was a historic success.

    • The second edition, scheduled for 2010 in Tehran, was canceled.

    • The third edition revived the tradition in 2013 in Palembang, Indonesia.

    • The fourth edition was held in 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan, with great success.

    • The fifth edition took place in 2022 in Konya, Turkey, symbolizing resilience and hope following the COVID-19 pandemic.

ISG Riyadh 2025 will not only bring athletes together on a global platform but also promote unity, cooperation, and a spirit of brotherhood across the Islamic world.
