The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission (LPTC) has officially launched the fifth edition of the International Translation Forum 2025, taking place from November 6 to 8 at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. The forum features participation from over 30 local and international organizations and a distinguished lineup of 70 experts and speakers from 22 countries around the world.
Dr. Abdullatif Al-Wasel, CEO of LPTC, stated that the forum “serves as an open platform for language dialogue and cultural exchange, fostering new visions for the future of translation as a means to promote mutual understanding among peoples.” He added that this edition aims to position the forum “as a global hub for translators and translation enthusiasts, enhanceing the translation sector and expanding its influence on content and knowledge creation.”

Held under the theme “Saudi Arabia translates the future”, the forum highlights the Kingdom’s role as a prominent cultural hub, advancing the translation industry and facilitating cultural and knowledge exchange between nations, in line with the objective of Saudi Vision 2030 to strengthen the Kingdom’s global cultural presence.

The International Translation Forum 2025 offers a diverse program that integrates theory and practice through seven main tracks, including panel discussions on modern translation issues and the Saudi-China Cultural Year, workshops on translation techniques and AI applications, and ATO discussion sessions. Interactive tracks such as “Meet the Experts,” “Translation Tales,” and the “Technology Hub” are also featured, along with student clubs presenting translation projects from universities across Saudi Arabia.

The forum serves as a global platform for sharing expertise, exploring the future of translation, and reaffirming LPTC’s commitment to advancing the sector, empowering translators, and promoting the Arabic language on the international cultural and intellectual stage
