The Pakistani Christian community residing in Riyadh organized a dignified ceremony to celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas, with a large number of Pakistani Christian men and women in attendance.

The event was organized under the banner of the Pakistani Christian Community, with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ahmed Farooq, attending as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the Pakistani Christian Community, Mr. John (June) Gulzar, extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to all participants. He expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Armed Forces, and the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, stating that the Pakistani Christian community holds deep love for their homeland and continues to pray for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. He described official Christmas celebrations in Pakistan as a strong example of interfaith harmony.

In his address, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq congratulated the Pakistani Christian community on Christmas and said that Christmas conveys a message of peace, love, tolerance, and brotherhood. He added that the Pakistani nation stands as a symbol of respect and coexistence for followers of all religions, and reaffirmed that the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh will continue to provide full support to all overseas Pakistanis without discrimination.

The ceremony was also attended by prominent members of the Pakistani community, social workers, and embassy officials. Children from the Christian community warmly welcomed the guests by presenting flower bouquets.
