Karachi,
AI for Her, another Women in AI initiative by Pro AI Global in collaboration with Rotary International District 3271, was successfully held in Karachi, bringing together more than 100 women for a women-only Artificial Intelligence meetup, training, and community engagement session.

The initiative was led by Ammara Aftab, Pakistan’s first female AI trainer and Rotary District AI Chair, through the flagship event Women in AI Connect – AI for Her 2026, hosted at the Centre of Excellence in Gaming and Animation (CEGA).

Distinguished speakers included Madam Durdana, Head of Women & Inclusion at Rotary, who emphasized the need for safe and inclusive spaces for women in emerging technologies; Mahjabeen Alvina, educator and speaker, who highlighted learning, mindset development, and ethical responsibility; and Faraz Hussain, Co-Chairperson of Pro AI Global, who spoke on community-driven AI growth and responsible innovation.
A key highlight was Ammara Aftab’s session, “AI Vampires: How Intelligent Systems Drain Women’s Time, Privacy & Power,” which addressed often-ignored but critical issues such as data exploitation, algorithmic bias, digital surveillance, online harassment, and the disproportionate impact of unethical AI practices on women.

The initiative aligned with Pakistan’s National AI Policy, the UNESCO Ethical AI Framework, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10.
Rotary International representatives reiterated the importance of integrating technology with ethics, inclusion, and service, stressing that women’s participation is essential to building fair, human-centric, and trustworthy AI systems.
Over 100 women actively participated in the sessions, and all attendees received certificates of participation, reinforcing the initiative’s focus on structured learning and long-term capacity building.
Through AI for Her, Pro AI Global continues to strengthen Pakistan’s AI ecosystem by promoting ethical innovation, inclusion, and women-led leadership.
