Riyadh: The Annual Qira’at Competition 2025–26 was successfully held at the auditorium of Pakistan International School English Section Riyadh in a spiritually uplifting and academically enriching environment. The event was not merely a competition but a reflection of spiritual awareness, serenity, and devotion to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Chief Guests Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Darussalam International, and Dr. Owais Mahmood, Associate Professor at King Saud University and Head of the Academic Committee. School Principal Mr. Muhammad Tanveer, Morning Shift Wing Head Mr. Nadeem Iqbal Awan, and Evening Shift Wing Head Mr. Muhammad Sajid Khan were also present.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Students from Grade 5 to A-2 participated with remarkable confidence, melodious voices, and high standards of recitation, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Mr. Umar Farooq Kilani presented a heartfelt poem on the Qur’an. Mr. Nauman Qureshi highlighted the importance of understanding and practicing Qur’anic teachings, while Mr. Abdul Rahim Iqbal spoke about embracing the spiritual blessings of Ramadan.
The Wing Heads expressed gratitude to the chief guests and appreciated the efforts of organizers Hafiz Azharuddin Badr and Hafiz Abu Ubaidah, along with the dedicated teachers of the Qur’an department.

Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid emphasized that the Qur’an guides humanity toward the straight path and urged students to strengthen their connection with it for success in this world and the hereafter. Dr. Owais Mahmood praised the students’ confidence and recitation skills, noting that Qur’anic education plays a vital role in building moral character and spiritual awareness among youth.

At the conclusion, prizes, certificates, and gifts were distributed among outstanding students. Principal Muhammad Tanveer presented commemorative shields to the chief guests and judges, and the ceremony concluded with a special prayer.
