For the first time in its history, Pakistan will host a global Qur’an recitation competition, with participation from 57 Islamic countries. In connection with this historic event, Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali, Pakistan’s world-renowned and internationally acclaimed Qur’an reciter, announced that special invitations have been extended to Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Imam of the Holy Kaaba, and the Secretary General of the OIC to attend the ceremony as distinguished guests. He added that this will be a great honor for Pakistan and a source of blessings for the nation.
The announcement was made during a dinner reception held in honor of Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali at the residence of prominent community leader Mian Muhammad Iqbal in Dammam. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani community, particularly Qur’an reciters (Qurraa) and Huffaz.
The dinner was hosted by Muhammad Rizwan Iqbal Mian, son of Mian Muhammad Iqbal, with Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali as the guest of honor. During the evening, Qari Sadaqat Ali’s soulful and unique recitation of the Holy Qur’an created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The audience responded with heartfelt expressions of “SubhanAllah, MashaAllah, and Allahu Akbar”, appreciating his melodious voice.
Expressing gratitude, Muhammad Rizwan Iqbal Mian said, “It is a great honor for us to host Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali in our home and to be blessed with the opportunity to listen to his beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an. This is truly a moment of pride for us and the community.”
Speaking to the media, both Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali and the host Muhammad Rizwan Iqbal Mian highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s upcoming international Qur’an recitation competition and the honor it brings to the entire nation.
