Jeddah – [Date] – The International Memon Organization (IMO) successfully held its Grand Annual General Meeting (AGM), IM2M Business Conference, and Expo in Jeddah, drawing participation from IMO office bearers, business leaders, and community members from around the world.
The prestigious gathering brought together representatives from Pakistan, India, UAE, UK, Kenya, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing IMO’s mission to unite the global Memon community and create sustainable economic opportunities.
IMO President Asif Majeed, Vice President Shamir Yaqub, Secretary General Tayyab Mosani, Saudi Arabia Chapter Head Irfan Kolsawala, Pakistan Chapter Head Ahmed Munaf, Pakistan Chapter Patron Zubair Gangra, India Chapter Head Naqeeb Noorani, UAE Chapter Head Abdullah, UK Chapter Head and Master of Ceremony Javed Akhtar, Kenya Chapter Head Shahid Yaqub, Canada Chapter Representative Tayyab Mosani, and IMO Founder Abdullah Janu shared their insights during the event.
Speakers underscored IMO’s vision of fostering unity across the global Memon community and fighting poverty by empowering members through business collaboration, sponsorships, and social initiatives rather than relying solely on traditional charity.
Guest of Honor, noted social activist and intellectual Dr. Sameera Aziz, delivered a keynote address highlighting the importance of women’s inclusion in the business sector. The session was moderated by UK Chapter Head Javed Akhtar.

Prominent Saudi personalities in attendance included Hafiz Yaseen, Yaqoob Al-Memoni, Ahmed Abdul Kareem, Ameen Al-Memoni, Waseem Tai, Faisal Luqman, Fawad Chhapra, Irfan Surti, and Dr. Sameera Aziz.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields to IMO’s President, Vice President, Secretary General, Chapter Heads, and distinguished personalities in recognition of their leadership and contributions to the community.
Founded in 1938 and revived in 2017, the International Memon Organization (IMO) is the largest representative body of the global Memon community, with over 1.3 million members across 14 chapters and 60 board members worldwide. IMO serves as a service-based platform dedicated to the social, educational, and economic advancement of the Memon community through unity, opportunity creation, and welfare initiatives.
