Diriyah, – As part of Diriyah Season 25/26, the Hal Al-Qusoor program was officially launched today in the At-Turaif Historic District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010 (1431 AH) and one of the largest mudbrick districts in the world.

The program, open daily to visitors from 4:00 PM, marks the first-ever public opening of several palaces of the Imams and Princes. Through theatrical performances, live storytelling, and interactive experiences, Hal Al-Qusoor brings to life the administrative, social, cultural, and human dimensions that shaped historic Diriyah during the era of the First Saudi State. Visitors can experience reenactments of traditional councils, official receptions, and family gatherings that once took place within these historic palaces.

At-Turaif is renowned for its authentic Najdi architecture and its historical role as a center of leadership and governance. Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammad bin Saud selected this strategic location in 1180 AH / 1766 AD on the western bank of Wadi Hanifah. The district includes 13 palaces and five mosques, most notably Salwa Palace, the main seat of governance, alongside key public facilities such as Sbalat Moudhi (a charitable endowment), Bayt Al-Mal (the treasury), the At-Turaif Grand Mosque, and Hammam At-Turaif, reflecting the high quality of life enjoyed by Diriyah’s residents.

Visitors can explore six historic palaces, each symbolizing a core value:

    • Imam Abdullah bin Saud Palace – resilience
    • Prince Turki bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Palace – courage and patience
    • Prince Thunayan bin Saud bin Mohammed Palace – knowledge
    • Prince Mishari bin Saud bin Mohammed Palace – dignity
    • Prince Saad bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Palace – architecture and innovation
    • Prince Nasser bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Palace – security and protection of trade caravans

Hal Al-Qusoor offers a rich cultural and historical journey, highlighting the leadership of the First Saudi State and emphasizing At-Turaif’s role as a center of culture, governance, and social cohesion.

As a cornerstone of Diriyah Season, the program bridges past and present, preserving Saudi heritage while offering immersive experiences to local and international visitors. Diriyah Season 25/26 continues to position Diriyah as a global destination for culture and history, combining authentic Najdi heritage with world-class experiences that reflect the Kingdom’s vision for sustainable cultural development.
