Diriyah, As part of the Diriyah Season 25/26 programs, the Msalliyah Program was launched today in the historic Adhwaihrah District, one of Diriyah’s most prominent districts, renowned for its cultural and educational significance. The district is distinguished by its diverse farms and proximity to the Al-Bujairi District and has long been home to important landmarks, including the Adhwaihrah Mosque.

Open daily to visitors starting at 10:00 a.m., the program offers a series of interactive activities designed to enrich the visitor experience by introducing intangible cultural heritage in a practical, engaging, and enjoyable way. The program is built on discovery and active participation.

The Msalliyah Program aims to foster shared understanding and appreciation of Diriyah’s rich heritage, strengthening connections to identity and tradition through activities that blend learning with play. It introduces Najdi traditions such as handicrafts, music, storytelling, and daily practices, presented in modern and interactive formats that encourage children and families to engage with and celebrate living heritage.

The program includes three main components designed for different age groups: seven educational workshops, “Heritage Discovery,” and “Me and My Family.” Together, these activities create a comprehensive experience that combines knowledge with enjoyment, transforming heritage into a vibrant and inspiring learning space. The program also provides a safe and creative environment that nurtures values and deepens pride in cultural roots.

The educational workshops offer children and their families immersive opportunities to explore authentic traditional values and skills through hands-on heritage experiences. The “Heritage Discovery” activity takes the form of a two-hour interactive adventure, during which children move through five stations, collecting badges along the way to earn the “Diriyah Scouts Badge.” Meanwhile, the “Me and My Family” experience strengthens emotional bonds through shared play, storytelling, and simple musical activities, as children and families gather in a single circle to participate in sensory and creative experiences inspired by the heritage of Najd and Diriyah.

Diriyah Season reflects the ongoing efforts of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority to highlight Diriyah’s historical and cultural identity and reinforce its position as a global destination for heritage and cultural exchange. Through innovative initiatives, the season redefines the relationship with the past through the language of the present and embodies the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, positioning culture, education, and heritage as key pillars of human development and community growth.
