Jeddah:
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, today formally inaugurated the new chancery building of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani, Saudi dignitaries, members of the Pakistani community, and officials of the consulate.

Addressing the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister appreciated the performance of the Consulate General in Jeddah and expressed gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for its continued support. He reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating overseas Pakistanis and officially approved the transfer of all consular operations to the new chancery building.

Senator Ishaq Dar stated that the new facility would play a vital role in providing efficient, modern, and improved consular services to approximately 1.8 million Pakistanis residing in western Saudi Arabia.

The inauguration ceremony included the hoisting of the national flag, tree plantation, ribbon-cutting, unveiling of a commemorative plaque, and special prayers for the prosperity and development of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. A video presentation highlighting the facilities and features of the new chancery building was also shown on the occasion.
