Riyadh: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Riyadh hosted a grand reception in honor of Mian Munir Hans, President of Pakistan Peoples Party Middle East, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event brought together a large gathering of party leaders, workers, members of the Pakistani community, and distinguished personalities from political, social, literary, media, and business circles.

Mian Munir Hans received a warm welcome upon his arrival. Addressing the audience, he emphasized that Pakistan needs sustained economic stability, national unity, and the strengthening of democratic values. He said overseas Pakistanis continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the national economy through record remittances and therefore deserve greater attention to their welfare, rights, and concerns.

He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to constitutional supremacy, democracy, social justice, and the protection of citizens’ rights. Describing overseas Pakistanis as one of the party’s greatest strengths, he pledged that PPP would continue to advocate for their interests at every forum.
The ceremony was also addressed by Ahsan Abbasi, Qazi Ishaq Memon, Waseem Sajjad, and Rana Adeel, who praised the invaluable contribution of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia to Pakistan’s economic development and the strengthening of the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Representatives of various political parties, social organizations, literary forums, media organizations, and the business community also addressed the gathering, including Rana Abdul Rauf (Majlis-e-Pakistan), Iqbal Wadood (Qaumi Watan Party), Rabbani Khan (Awami National Party), Maulana Asadullah and Maulana Aziz-ur-Rehman Durrani (Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam), Dr. Rashid Takhayyul (Adabi Forum), Waqar Naseem Wamiq (Halqa-e-Fikr-o-Fun), Ilyas Rahim (Pak Media Forum), Khalid Akram Rana (Pakistan Muslim League-N), Munir Shad (Business Executive Forum), Sadaqat Hussain, Hidayatullah, Hassan Jameel Abbasi, Sardar Razzaq, and Ghulam Mustafa Nahra.

During the ceremony, PPP Riyadh leader Qazi Ishaq Memon presented the traditional Ajrak, a symbol of Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, to Mian Munir Hans and Ahsan Abbasi as a gesture of respect and welcome. The participants appreciated the presentation as a meaningful expression of Pakistan’s cultural values, hospitality, and brotherhood.

Representatives of various political, social, community, and business organizations also presented commemorative gifts and honorary shields to Mian Munir Hans in recognition of his services to overseas Pakistanis, democracy, and the Pakistan Peoples Party. A special highlight of the evening was the celebration of the birthday of Ahsan Abbasi, a senior PPP Riyadh leader. A birthday cake was cut in the presence of Mian Munir Hans, party leaders, distinguished guests, and community members, who extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his health, happiness, and continued success. The ceremony concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with participants exchanging greetings and taking commemorative photographs.
