Riyadh: The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh organized a vibrant Pakistan Mango Festival, inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Farooq. The event was attended by Dr. Shagufta Zareen, Minister (Trade & Investment), officials of the Embassy, members of the Pakistani community, business leaders, and a large number of Saudi nationals.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq highlighted that Pakistani mangoes are globally renowned for their exceptional sweetness, natural aroma, premium quality, and distinctive taste.
He noted that Pakistani mangoes are proudly known as the “King of Fruits” and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to promoting their exports and strengthening their international recognition.
Dr. Shagufta Zareen stated that this year’s Mango Festival is being held in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to enable a wider audience to experience the unique flavor and fragrance of Pakistani mangoes while promoting Pakistan’s agricultural products in international markets.
The festival featured Pakistan’s most celebrated mango varieties, including Chaunsa, Sindhri, and Langra, whose rich aroma filled the venue and delighted visitors. Guests highly appreciated the outstanding taste and quality of the mangoes.
A specially prepared Mango Cake was ceremonially cut during the event, while guests enjoyed a variety of mango-inspired delicacies, including pastries, desserts, traditional sweets, fresh juices, and other refreshments, all of which received an enthusiastic response.
At the conclusion of the festival, Danube Mall presented a commemorative shield to H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Farooq in recognition of his contributions to promoting trade relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and advancing Pakistani agricultural products in the Kingdom.
Participants described Pakistani mangoes as the true “King of Fruits” for their exceptional taste, aroma, and quality. Saudi and Pakistani guests alike praised the festival as an excellent initiative to promote Pakistan’s agriculture, culture, and exports while further strengthening the friendship and commercial ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
