JEDDAH: Member of the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Kashif Naveed Pansota has said that overseas Pakistanis are among the country’s greatest assets and serve as its true ambassadors abroad. He emphasized that addressing their concerns remains a top priority for the Government of Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He made these remarks while addressing a reception hosted in Jeddah in honor of the Pakistani community. The event was organized by Pakistan Muslim League (N) Saudi Arabia Chairman Chaudhry Akram Gujar to welcome Chaudhry Kashif Naveed Pansota, who was visiting Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, along with PML-N Saudi Arabia President Sheikh Saeed. The gathering was attended by party officials, representatives of various political and social organizations, and a large number of members of the Pakistani community.

Welcoming the guests, Chaudhry Akram Gujar congratulated them on performing Umrah and paid tribute to their political, social, and public service.
Addressing the audience, Sheikh Saeed stated that the success of PML-N in the first phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections reflected the confidence of the Kashmiri people in the party. He urged party workers to strengthen and further organize the party. During the event, he also announced new organizational appointments, including Chaudhry Farooq Anjum as Acting Vice Chairman Saudi Arabia, Ali Khurshid Malik as Deputy Secretary General Saudi Arabia, Chaudhry Tariq as Senior Vice President Jeddah Region, and Imtiaz Qureshi as Information Secretary Jeddah Region, along with several other appointments.

In his keynote address, Chaudhry Kashif Naveed Pansota highlighted that the Punjab Government is taking practical steps to resolve the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. He said initiatives such as the Overseas Punjab Commission, special courts, the Green Bus Service, the “Suthra Punjab” campaign, the Kisan Card, and several public welfare projects are being implemented rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to transform Punjab into a model province.

He further stated that although the government inherited difficult circumstances, record development projects had been completed in his constituency within a short period. He expressed confidence that Punjab would continue to witness significant improvements in development and public services.
The reception was also addressed by PML-N Saudi Arabia Patron-in-Chief Masood Ahmad Puri, former Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Warraich, Chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Overseas Community Engineer Arif Mughal, Pakistan Peoples Party Saudi Arabia President Chaudhry Tasawar Hussain, and other distinguished speakers, who congratulated the guests on performing Umrah and acknowledged their contributions.

The event was attended by senior PML-N leaders Noor Muhammad Arain, Chaudhry Farooq Anjum, Mian Rizwan-ul-Haq, Umar Masood Puri, Haji Muhammad Siddique, Chaudhry Saqlain Gujar, Muslim Conference leader Sardar Ashfaq Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Gujar, Malik Umar Farooq Kakarzai, Chaudhry Tariq, Muhammad Abid, and many other prominent personalities. Women representatives included Maryam Tanveer and PML-N Saudi Arabia Social Media Wing Head Saiza Shams.
The proceedings were conducted by Chaudhry Ehsan Elahi Gujar. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the late Nadeem Malik, brother-in-law of Overseas Punjab Commission Vice Chairman Barrister Amjad Malik, as well as prayers for Pakistan’s peace, stability, prosperity, and progress.
