Riyadh:
A special ceremony was held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to commend Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting a ceasefire between Iran and the United States. On the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were paid tribute.

The event was organized by the Pakistani community and attended by prominent figures from various walks of life. The chief guests included former Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Azhar Abbas Warraich, and Chairman of Pak Media Journalists Forum International, Chaudhry Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar, who arrived from Jeddah.
The host of the event, senior PML-N leader Chaudhry Khadim Hussain Bajjar, welcomed the guests and appreciated their services to the community. He praised the Government of Pakistan’s efforts in easing Iran-US tensions, stating that these initiatives have enhanced Pakistan’s positive image globally.
Other speakers, including senior political and media figures, also addressed the gathering and appreciated the country’s foreign policy.
The chief guests, in their speeches, expressed gratitude for the warm reception in Riyadh and emphasized the importance of unity among overseas Pakistanis. They also highlighted the strengthening of Pakistan-Saudi relations.
They further stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s role has elevated Pakistan’s global standing, adding that overseas Pakistanis are gaining increased respect and the country’s passport value has improved.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants termed these diplomatic efforts as a reflection of Pakistan’s wise foreign policy.
