Jeddah: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud this evening.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar accompanied the Prime Minister during the meeting.
The two leaders held detailed discussions for nearly two hours, focusing on the evolving regional situation. The Prime Minister expressed full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the context of recent regional tensions. He also conveyed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and stated that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi brothers.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the Crown Prince’s exemplary patience and leadership during the current crisis, noting that his leadership has been a source of strength for peace-loving people both within Saudi Arabia and beyond.
The Prime Minister briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s recent peace efforts, including developments that led to a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as well as the recent historic round of talks between the two countries held in Islamabad. The Crown Prince appreciated the constructive role played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in advancing peace efforts.
Discussing bilateral relations, the Prime Minister expressed sincere appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support toward Pakistan’s economic stability. He emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a unique relationship as strategic defense partners under the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuing close cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
