Khartoum: A high-level delegation of Pakistani investors led by Pakistan Investors Forum President Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood is currently visiting Sudan to explore business and investment opportunities. During the visit, the delegation held an important meeting with Sudan’s Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha.
The meeting focused on investment opportunities in the mining sector, bilateral economic cooperation, and potential joint ventures between investors from both countries.
Welcoming the Pakistani delegation, Minister Nour Al-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha highlighted Sudan’s vast natural resources and rich mineral reserves, including gold, copper, and other valuable minerals. He invited Pakistani investors to explore opportunities in mining, mineral processing, and gold refinery projects, assuring them of full government support.

The Minister emphasized that Sudan is committed to facilitating foreign investment and offers investors the opportunity to establish projects with 100 percent ownership. He further assured that the government would provide support throughout the investment process to ensure a favorable business environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood expressed strong interest in Sudan’s investment potential and stated that Pakistani investors are evaluating opportunities in mining, energy, value-added industries, and other strategic sectors. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Sudan.
Minister Nour Al-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha also revealed plans to visit Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the near future to further enhance cooperation with investors and business communities and explore new avenues for joint investment.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to promote collaboration in mining, energy, and other economic sectors while encouraging mutual investment and stronger commercial ties between the two countries.
