Report: Nadeem Sher Awan — Dammam: The Eastern Region Scholars Summit 2026, organized by Green Global International School, was held with great enthusiasm in Dammam, bringing together talented and academically gifted students from various schools across the Eastern Region.

The unique educational competition featured General Knowledge and Science Quiz, Islamic Knowledge, Spelling Bee Championship, Qira’at and Speech Competitions, providing students with an excellent platform to demonstrate their academic, creative and communication skills.

The event was graced by Afnan Mishal, Focal Person and Program Head of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, as the chief guest, while Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid, Founder of Maktaba Darussalam, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The event was also attended by Malik Habib Orakzai, Chairman of Pakistan International Human Rights Organization; Komal, Coordinator Youth Affairs, Prime Minister’s Youth Programme; Brigadier (Retd.) Wajahat Hussain Sahi; Abdul Razzaq Sial, President Islamabad Press Club; Sheikh Munir Qamar, former spokesperson of the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia; Rana Javed; Abdul Saboor Qureshi, and other distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Afnan Mishal congratulated the organizers for successfully arranging the event and said she was delighted to visit Dammam and witness the exceptional talent and abilities of Pakistani children. She emphasized that such positive, educational and healthy competitive activities should continue to provide young students with opportunities to develop and showcase their potential.

Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid described the event as highly impressive and said that academic competitions of this nature help build confidence and courage among children while also developing their leadership qualities.
Other speakers congratulated the management of Green Global International School for organizing such a meaningful educational initiative and appreciated the efforts of the students, parents and teachers.

Ehsanullah Bhatti, CCO of Green Global International School and organizer of the event, thanked all guests who travelled from different cities of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as well as teachers, parents, students and members of the media.
He said, “The Eastern Region Scholars Summit 2026 is not merely a competition; it is a unique platform designed to promote knowledge, confidence, leadership and a positive spirit of competition among students.” He added that the summit provides young minds with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and take their first steps towards becoming future champions. He assured that similar educational initiatives would continue in the future.
Students were divided into three age categories: Group A: 6–9 years, Group B: 10–13 years, and Group C: 14–16 years.
Outstanding performers were rewarded with valuable prizes, including tablets, LED TVs, laptops and iPhone 17 devices, as part of the organizers’ efforts to encourage and motivate young talent.
At the conclusion of the event, successful students received shields, medals and certificates, while honorary shields were also presented to the distinguished guests.
The event concluded with media interactions by Ehsanullah Bhatti, Afnan Mishal, Maulana Abdul Malik Mujahid, Malik Habib Orakzai and Youth Programme Coordinator Komal, who highlighted the objectives of the summit, the remarkable abilities of the participating students and the importance of continuing educational initiatives for the younger generation.
