Pakistan is proudly celebrating a historic achievement as Amara Aftab has become the first Pakistani woman to win the AI Catalyst Award in Dubai, in recognition of her leadership and building of the world’s fastest-growing artificial intelligence community.
This achievement marks a significant milestone, firmly placing Pakistan on the global AI map. This recognition reflects not only Amara’s dedication but also the immense potential of Pakistani talent to shape the future of technology globally.
As Pakistan celebrates Indus AI Week, Amara’s achievements stand out as a testament to the country’s leadership in emerging technologies. She was the first to establish the Women in AI community in Pakistan and is also the country’s first AI podcast host, contributing to the spread of a culture of innovation and digital transformation.
Amara has trained over 40 cohorts in artificial intelligence and launched specialized educational programs for lawyers, bureaucrats, government officials, and universities. She also serves as the AI Chair for Rotary International District 3271, a consultant for the Kazakhstan AI Research Journal, and is the author of “Falling in Love with AI: A C-Suite Romance Guide.”
