The Embassy of Pakistan in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce organized an IT Workshop & Networking Session in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia, bringing together a large number of Pakistani and Saudi IT companies, professionals, and industry experts.


More than 50 companies specializing in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and various fields of information technology participated in the event.

The workshop served as a platform to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistani and Saudi companies and explore new opportunities for business partnerships and technological collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shagufta Zareen, Minister Trade & Investment at the Embassy of Pakistan, stated that the Eastern Region is one of the most important economic hubs of Saudi Arabia and home to major corporations including Saudi Aramco. She emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to introducing more Pakistani IT companies to the Saudi market, adding that the results achieved over recent years have been highly positive.

Mr. Raheel Tariq, Counsellor Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Pakistan, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s rapid progress in the field of information technology and described the Kingdom as a major market with significant opportunities for Pakistani IT firms to enhance business and trade relations.

Talking to the media, Minister Trade & Investment Ms. Shagufta Zareen, Counsellor Economic Affairs Mr. Raheel Tariq, and Pakistani businessman Mr. Adnan Mahmood, General Manager of Oasis Fusion Business Services Company, reaffirmed the importance of strengthening Pakistan-Saudi cooperation in the IT sector and encouraging innovation-driven partnerships between companies of both countries.
