Riyadh –The Ministry of Health signed a cooperation agreement in Riyadh Digital City with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) — a Saudi Aramco initiative — represented by the Digital Wellbeing Program “Sync”, with the aim of supporting digital balance concepts and promoting mental and behavioral health through technology. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health by Dr. Ahmed Alammar, Executive Director of “Live Healthy”, while Dr. Fahad Al-Bayahi, Head of the Digital Wellbeing Program “Sync” at Ithra, represented the center.
The partnership aims to develop and publish joint digital awareness content reflecting approved health messages through various formats, including video productions, podcasts, and educational publications. It also seeks to expand the reach of awareness content through the digital platforms of both parties and participate in national campaigns and awareness events to enhance community engagement and strengthen the impact of digital wellbeing concepts.

The agreement further includes the exchange of expertise and advisory support in developing awareness content, engaging specialized speakers in educational programs and sessions, and sharing reports and indicators related to audience engagement, reach, and media impact.
“Live Healthy” serves as the Ministry of Health’s primary awareness platform and a trusted national reference for health education content. Through its initiatives, the platform aims to promote healthy daily behaviors and empower communities to adopt balanced lifestyles by providing simplified scientific content covering public health, nutrition, physical activity, sleep health, and mental wellbeing.
Dr. Fahad Al-Bayahi emphasized that the partnership contributes to strengthening the concept of digital wellbeing and its direct impact on quality of life and mental health. He highlighted the importance of raising public awareness about the healthy and balanced use of digital devices to maximize benefits and reduce risks.
He also referenced the 2025 report titled “Generation Alpha: The Reality of Family Life in the Digital Age,” which revealed that 91% of children gain access to digital devices at an early age, leading to physical, psychological, and social impacts. The report included contributions from 7,560 participants across 42 countries, including 755 parents from Saudi Arabia.
It is worth noting that the “Sync” program is one of Ithra’s initiatives dedicated to promoting digital wellbeing by transforming research knowledge into awareness initiatives and educational experiences that empower individuals and communities to use technology safely and responsibly.
